Hey, Gang,

We're headed south. Ken and crew left RI Oct 5. Crew flew home to TX and I flew into Wilmington, NC - the boat was docked in N Myrtle Beach, SC, on Oct 31. I didn't think I would be able to make any of trip since I was doing serious Mother duty. (She had another back procedure in Aug, Ralph fell and broke both wrists , then heart valve replacement. So I've been living with them as super care-giver for last 2 months.) However, they're both doing better and I decided after 15 months, if I didn't get a break, I couldn't continue.

Right now we're sitting in Beaufort, SC, waiting for a weather window to go outside of Georgia and into Fernandina Beach, FL. Looks like tomorrow night is best bet, a north wind of 5-10 knots, seas 3-4 ft, and temp of 40 degrees (brrrrr!) and no moon til 4am!!! I told Mother a couple of weeks, but will try to get Ken to Ft Laud. He has a slip reserved At Marina Bay, up the New River, for as long as he wants. When I fly home I'll either ship his car or see if I'll be able to drive it down.
