Bon Jour!

It was an awesome trip! We dove 2 times a day. The diving was fabulous! Spectacular! We dove with black tip reef sharks all the time. Saw some lemon sharks, they were pretty. I never thought I would be excited to dive with sharks! I wanted to see 2 types of fish and I saw both. Manta Rays, we saw 8 of them 6-8 feet wing tip to wing tip. It was so neat. And, I finally got to see my favorite little fish, a Clownfish in its sea anemone. I got a picture of the clown fish. No pictures of mantas. I was very disappointed with my camera. It was acting up and I didn't get many pictures of diving on the island of Manihi, where the diving was spectacular. We dove on a coral wall that dropped to 5,000 feet. You can't see the bottom.

We did some night dives too. One of the dives we called our honeymoon dive. All the critters were in pairs. The moon was so bright that we shut our lights off underwater at the bottom. We could see each other, the fish and the coral. When we surfaced the stars were spectacular, they were the brightest I had ever seen.

The weather was wonderful. It was there winter 80 degrees+ and dry. Therefore it is there high season. Our accommodations were wonderful. We visited 3 motus (islands): Manihi (which is a coral atoll) best diving, only resort on the island. not much for wild life, so many natural palm trees. Then to the island of Bora Bora where it is green, lush and jagged mountains and we went to the island of Moorea looks very much like Bora Bora.
