Earth’s sky has many interesting things to see including the sun, moon, stars, constellations, and planets. We’ll take a quick tour of events close to Earth on out into the Cosmos. Dress warmly, including your feet. Please bring your binoculars or telescope if you have any, but they are not required.
Spencer Howe is the husband of Dawn Brindley-Howe and a ’77 graduate of Bridgewater State College. He operated the college observatory there as a student and majored in Physics. His graduate work used an x-ray astronomy satellite at MIT, resulting in an M.S. in Physics. Spence is currently a member of the South Shore Astronomy Club.
