EXPERIENCE:

2004, 2003, 2002 Captained "Ichiban" out of Scituate to the Provincetown, Salem and Buzzards Bay areas. This included:

• Charting courses about Boston to Martha's Vineyard- Bearings, distances, and estimated times of travel.
• Operation of LORAN and GPS: rhumb line, anchor alarm, etc.

2001, 2000 Sadly, "Ichiban" never launched either year due to work.
Captained "Here's Howe" to Boston for the 4th of July, and on numerous SCUBA trips involving:

• Selection of dive sites from navigational charts
• Locating the dive sites using only a depth sounder
• Anchorage of "Here's Howe", unattended in winds up to 20 knots.
• Docking, and trailer pick-up

1999...1997 Captained "Daybreak", a Moorings 405 about the British Virgin Islands.
Captained "Ichiban", "Here's Howe", and "Persamus", a 27 foot Tartan along the Massachusetts coast.
Second open water sail from Newport, RI to Atlantic City, NJ aboard "Conquest".
Mate for first open water sail from Newport, RI to Atlantic City, NJ aboard "Conquest".

1996...1991 Captained "Here's Howe" to tow a powerless "Ichiban" from Monument Beach to Mattapoisett after she was damaged by Hurricane Bob. "Ichiban" was then secured alongside "Here's Howe" and maneuvered into a trailer cradle.
Captained "Chickadee" a chartered Endeavorcat 30 on a three-day cruise around Penobscott Bay, ME.
Captained "Chinook", a chartered 30 foot Catalina, in Penobscott Bay.
First mate aboard "Ichiban" and "Conquest" on several excursions, including January.
First mate aboard "Star Gazer", a chartered 36 foot Catalina on a four-day cruise around the Virgin Islands.
Captained "Here's Howe" on numerous fishing and SCUBA trips.
Obtained two-way marine band VHF station license for "Here's Howe"

1990...1968 First Mate aboard "Here's Howe" captained by Dr. Kenneth Howe for numerous fishing trips, sometimes up to 10 per week.
